Adam Anderson is a nobody, a social zero. Which is even worse than being a nerd. He's been chasing after the same girl for eleven years. But the problem is that Brea Clove is popular. She is the most popular girl in school. Everyday, for the last eleven years Adam has written her poems and slipped them into her locker. He signs all the notes A, the problem is that Brea thinks the poems are from her boyfriend, Alex. Adam writes about Brea, she's where his inspiration comes from. Because Adam notices something her fake friends don't, Brea isn't happy. She smiles, but it doesn't reach her eyes. And when she thinks no one is looking, her true emotions show. Adam seems to be the only one who cares, because he loves her. The final poem he gives to Brea is one confessing his love for her, after Adam finds out he has cancer. Amongst all the hospital visits and secret dates, they fall in love. But alas, forever is never truly forever.
