Skyrentials, Sky mages. Transporentials, transport mages. Finally, the Angentials, Light bringers, other wise known as Angels besides being a mage. The Angentials are the tyrannical rulers of this world and rule with a iron fist. The only hope for getting freedom in this world are the rebels. There are few of them and have yet to destroy anyone in the royal family but have killed many important officials on the Kings behalf.

Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.Complete

I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts. Rebellion
I am a Rebel, they say. They're right. It all started when I was a young girl, my parents died in a fire, started by the King of our land. I was only 6 years of age, and I was left with a burn tracing up my arm and onto my collarbone. I was taken in by a woman I called 'Stepmother'. The King's actions caused my life, he's caused so much death. At least half the village has suffered because of him. I now fight against the King, and his daughter, I'm now a leader. There are so many others whom he has wronged. We used to be small group, but now we've grown in numbers. Millicent (though we call her Maleficent on accident) the Dragon Sorceress, Peter Pan the boy who can fly, Killian Hook the Pirate, Red Riding Hood the Wolf Slayer and Animal Tamer, Hansel and Gretel the Witch Hunters, Rumplestiltskin the Wizard, Blue the Fairy, Maethranal the Elven Queen, Jack the Giant Killer, Gothel the Witch, Merida the Archer, and Banshee, are the original people in our group who aren't dead. Gothel was being hunted by Hansel and Gretel at the time I met all three of them. Merida was adopted by Maethranal and trained as an Elven archer. Blue and Banshee are related by blood. Peter and Killian were enemies, but then banded together to stop Rumpelstiltskin, who later agreed to work with me. I love them like family, especially since my seven friends were killed. I miss them so much. They were my first friends, and helped me start this... rebel group. My husband contributed just as much as they did, and had the same fate. Eight people dead in one tiny little raid. I killed my stepmother, and use her riches to buy weapons for us all. We now hide in an abandoned castle in the middle of the dark forest, called 'The Red Tower', and is shrouded in fog and mist. (Please read first two chapters for info, thank you!) For a long time, elemental magic has been widely known, used, and practiced. Elemental magic is based upon the four core elements - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Elemental magic is most prominent in England, where many mages gather to learn and research elemental magic. However, during the early 1500's, the Fire Outbreaks happened. Several various fire mages suddenly swept through and destroyed the smaller cities of England, killing many in their way and leaving no survivors. Due to this the Council of Magic, the governing figure of elemental magic, issued an act - The Anti-Fire Act. This effectively banned any and all use of fire magic within all of England. The Council of Magic was later changed to the Triumvirate in the 1540's, and from then on are set on killing off every last fire mage. Allen Fleming, a 15 year old air mage, wishes to attend the Magical Knights Academy. The academy is where many young, prominent mages attend to improve their use of magic, and eventually become a magical knight. Magical knights are the respected mages who protect the cities of England and keep its citizens safe. But in order to even attend the academy, Allen must first pass the entrance exam. However, Allen's magic is extremely weak and he relies mostly on his physical fighting ability. Air is considered the strongest element within England, and with his lack of air magic prowess, many mages hate and ignore him. But what many do not know, is that Allen possesses a second element - the fire element! Without knowing who his real parents are, and having to keep his fire magic a secret, Allen has to work hard if he ever wishes to become a magical knight and achieve his goals. However, with tensions rising within the Triumvirate, fire mages on the run, and other events happening behind the scenes, Allen must go from being the weakest to the strongest if he even hopes to stop what may be coming in the near future.Complete
