Ava St-Claire should have led a charmed life. She could have had everything, with parents that were in love,  a lavish lifestyle and the family fortune. Unfortunately after her mother's death her life changed forever. Her father remarries a cold, controlling, and detached woman with two spoiled daughters. Ava doesn't fit her stepmother's idea of perfect, so she's shipped off to boarding school. 

Senior year, she travels to Scotland and ends up being transported  to a land where legend, folklore, myth, and fairy tale are all very real. Worse even, the characters weren't quite what you were told they were. Cinderella, supposed to be good is in fact a cunning, manipulative, dictator, who looks exactly like Ava.

She'll have to navigate a whole new world where most people hate her, (Cinderella really which is who everyone thinks she is) and a rebel group is trying to recruit her.

One night, during one of the Prince's courting events - a special type of ball, where dozens of young woman would dress up and dance with the prince, in an attempt to win over his heart and become queen to the Kingdom - An uninvited guest arrived. It was a poor, shivering, elderly woman seeking shelter from the bitter winter storm. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince dismissed the woman. As a gift, the old woman offered the prince a single rose, but when he dismissed her again, the woman's outer appearance melted away. Only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late - for she could see there was no love in his heart. The enchantress cursed the prince, transforming him into a hideous beast - and if he was unable to learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal from the rose she offered had fallen, he would remain a beast forever. But the enchantress also placed the curse upon his innocent castle staff, who were transformed into antiques; suffering for the prince's mistake(s) in small, rusting, metallic bodies. Life was hard enough for the staff, but now - it was unbearable. ~ This story will go through the staff's struggles before, DURING, and after they were cursed. It will also fill plot holes and extend the ending of Beauty And The Beast. A majority of this story is a prequel, and will fall into a bit of a sequel as well, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth.
