Eighteen year-old Lee Indridason has a priceless gift. He can play any musical instrument like a master, within minutes of laying hands on it. He's graduated high school, his band is on the rise, and he's found a very special girlfriend, Jesse...who happens to be a Wiccan. The future's wide open for this young Texan from humble beginnings.
Only his priceless gift comes with a price. Enough anger or pain can trigger uncontrollable, violent rages. A wild animal sleeps inside of him, always waiting to be awakened. He calls it "The Steppenwolf". And drugs and alcohol are the only things he knows of that can keep it dormant.
Initiated into Jesse's coven as a fledgling witch, Lee finds close friends, wise teachers, and a personal path that feels right. One that reveres Nature and trains him in the Old Ways -- the ways of magic -- and ways in which he can begin to control the Steppenwolf without using drugs and alcohol. But he soon discovers that, for the strongest, the path of the witch is fraught with danger -- both from Nature's "world unseen", and from one's fellow witches. "Perfect love and perfect trust" become expendable tenets for those who harbor jealousy, ego, and hunger for power and prestige.
And even if Hell and demons are nothing more than Christian myths, there lurk things in Nature easily as terrible. And some far, far worse.

A few dark sabbatical years between university studies mark the past of Timothy, who has a few more memories, of a few more things, than he knows what to do with. He is now trying to restart a study path already once forsaken, in a human life that isn't quite his. A young man in a fragile human body, with a vampire's soul. With the start of a new academic year, he finds old acquaintances and new friends. Clover is a witch, with her magical powers equaling those of an oven glove. And she suspects one of their friends to be possessed by a demon. Lavender however is blissfully oblivious of her friend's suspicions and thinks she is losing her mind with vivid nightmares and huge gaps in her memory. Valentina, meanwhile, would be happy with just one recovered memory. She would love to know how she became tattooed, or even just what the Chinese character on her ankle means. But, as some of her friends know, the price of that one memory might be set higher than she is willing to pay. (There are some ethically interesting choices from the main characters, thus the mature rating. But nothing graficly shocking should be included, just a couple of murders discussed that could absolutely not be avoided.) (All characters are strictly fictional. I feel this should be highlighted, for while inspiration is always tied to the outer world, imagination composes a story out of it and colors the outcome with dreams and nightmares.) At her new school, The Academy for the Gifted, Rae is faced with a few challenges by trying to survive high school like any other normal teenager with her two best friends. Bury A Friend
Ghost aren't real. And chics this cute don't tell you they are. It's the reassurance I told myself, which mostly didn't work cause it was a straight up lie. This book doesn't have effervescent, long haired fairy's or stoic vampires that smolder and fight. More like a judgmental grumpy teen weed dealer named Zach, who shamefully talks about himself in third person like this. And you won't find some grand quest up a mountain or into an unknown land rich with magic because I have asthma and no time for that shit. And lastly, there will be absolutely no hideous romance where instantly the girl of my dreams sweeps me off my feet. I get on her nerves far to much for that. Finding out I'm part of ancient group of mediums tasked with cataloging, fighting and cleansing ghost you would think has some upsides. But so far all that comes with it is cold chilled air that gives me the sniffles when they're around. I'd like to say by the end of this book I'll have conquered the monster and won over the girl, but as you read you'll learn that's far to much faith in a screwup like me. This book won't be for everyone, hell people die in it. But the good news is that if I die at least I'll be around, floating off of the pages to haunt you in your home.
