Mizuki was always dependent on his best friend Sei since birth. On his 5th birthday his parents tragically died in a car crash while they were on thier way to get his present. The death of his parents hit him hard because he was little but with Sei by his side he made him feel better. So every year on his birthday he would hate it and blame the death of his parents on himself. When he turned 16 his grandmother died and left Mizuki with another death which upsets him more and he just chose to no longer get close to anyone other than Sei.
