Looking deeper in to the past they find out that the eight friends are all descendants of the Nine royal sorcerers of the 1st century that created the main realms they have today, till they also find out that they have to kill an 'undefeateble creature'. To later find out it was created by another sorcerer from the first century that was the one to ultimately create magic, where later he kills Anastasia and disappears to leave everyone in disarray.
