Her dancing skilled, and his musical skills, were enough to have me mesmerized. Almost obsessed. But I regret it all now that I have grown up. I had realized that money was the only thing on their minds.
Their son stared at me with so much hatred. I gave him the same exact looks back. Just so he didn't think it was one way. Nothing was ever one way with us. I hope he knew that.

I know this because I've experienced both. Physical pain, from my alcoholic father, sexual abuse from his friends. It hurt, it really did. I have scars to show.
