Malana Goodman has always blended into the background. She's never needed to be in the limelight, preferring to leave that to her older, more attractive sister, Angela.
She's never had a boyfriend, but that's okay, because she doesn't have the time for romance.
Even at school, she rarely talks to anyone, sharing her thoughts with only two, very close friends. She aspires to be an artist. Nothing more, nothing less.
Until the very handsome Quinton Banks notices her for the first time. She can't believe this unbelievably good-looking, insanely popular boy has actually talked to her. But she has no time for him, either way.
Quinton is an unobservant, impulsive boy, not particularly dedicated to anything. He's had plenty of girlfriends in his day, but never anyone he found he could commit himself to. He goes through life with a smile and a cocky attitude.
