Leila is known for her darker scene and shy personality. Noah on the other hand is known for his flirtastic out-going personality and being quite the partier. Until one unfateful evening while Leila is on her way home from her part-time job in town; she collides with another car of a drunk driver. Her life hanging by a thread; it was even a miracle she lived. She has Noah Benderman though to thank; as he stopped by the road and called 911 to help her. Day by day Noah would stop by the hospital and visit her; see how she was doing or how she was feeling. The two made a connection but were in utter denial of it. Yet soon enough; Leila had gone back to her life; where she was a no one and didn't fit in. It was until she bumped into someone in the hall one day at school; identified as Noah she had now seen him for who he really was; or at least who everyone thought he was. What'll happen between these two now? And how will it effect the way things ever were between them in that hospital?

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. Layla finds her way into Reece's life and Reece doesn't know what to do about it. This ray of Sunshine suddenly meant something to him. She understood him when it seemed like no one else did.
