The Siege of Wrenstock Gardens Fast, Fun and Full of Eccentric Characters Noreen Bottle and her husband Skipper are caught up in a messy mystery caused by their new neighbour. Marsha Sludger is a rum-soaked aspiring author with a taste for disco-bunny clothes. Frightened out of her wits after enraging a group of local thugs, Marsha asks Noreen for a place to hide and is soon tucked-away at Shangri-La, the Bottle's ancient seaside caravan. But Marsha won't stay put and keeps straying to the pub. After Marsha’s publisher Grayzon Devine, a man abounding with peacock tendencies turns up in hysterics recounting the terrifying tale of Marsha’s abduction, Noreen and Skipper set off with Grayzon in tow, desperately trying to locate the missing Marsha. Guns, drugs and dog-napping, Noreen takes it all in her stride, but when the BBC arrive, even she has to admit everything has gone over the top.
