Ever since the death of her father, Annabeth Chase has been stuck living with her cruel step mother and two step brothers. At school she's invisible and at home she's more of a servant than a daughter. Basically her life sucks. That is until she meets Percy. He's sweet, handsome, funny, and loyal. Perfect right? Nope. Stephanie the schools "queen bee" threatens Annabeth and claims that Percy is hers. So what happens when Annabeth bumps into Percy at the school dance?What if he doesn't know it's her? What happens if someone from Percy's past returns? Will Annabeth stand up and fight for her happily ever after or will she forever stay the runaway princess?

When her father divorced her mom, and married a woman named Helen. Helen is very abusive, but never when her father is around. When Annabeth is 11, her father committed suicide over mother's death. Yes. He still missed and cared for her mother, Athena. Annabeth is forced to live with her abusive stepmother, and her two kind stepbrothers. Annabeth has attempted suicide many times, but the only thing keeping her from actually doing it, is her best friend Percy Jackson. They've been friends since they were6years old. Percy was abused by his former stepfather, who is now in prison for child abuse. Sometimes he has flashbacks, and panic attacks. But over the years they have left. But something happens and they return. Now Annabeth is 14, and Percy is moving. Possibly to never be seen again by Annabeth. What will happen now? Oh, and by the way,... Annabeth is part of the Chases, the family that runs one of the departments of the Magistrates. Annabeth's father, Frederick, runs this department. It takes care of all petty crimes. Percy is the Chase's houseboy, a boy who serves the family with what they need. Annabeth is walking through town one day when she sees Percy steal some bread. She watches him get caught but Percy gets off with a warning. Annabeth walks by and when the merchant isn't looking she steals some bread and cheese. She goes after Percy to give him the food so he wouldn't go hungry. He takes the food and flees but becomes a wanted criminal since it is his second offence. Witnesses say they saw Percy take the food. Meanwhile, Annabeth is also stuck in an arranged marriage with the son of the other head of the Magistrates but is falling for the boy who stole the bread when she starts meeting up with him during the night. One day, Annabeth is sitting in on one of her father's court sessions and Percy is brought in, beaten bloody. Annabeth must decide if she comes forward and faces the punishment-which would be worse for her since she is a girl-or let Percy take the fall for something he didn't do, and face a worse punishment for his second crime. **All characters belong to Rick Riordan** **Mature for language and violence**Complete
