Both meet in Texas when Elvis is training, and Adeline is to film on location. The two become close friends, and soon become inseparable. Not even distance can keep them apart. But when Elvis begins to feel more than friendly likes towards the starlet, things get complicated. Others beat him to her, career, personal issues...overall life. This could cause problems with Elvis's flame Priscilla Beaulieu and his girlfriend Anita Wood, and he's trying to sort out his feelings for his costar Joan Blackman.
