Piper is your average 13 year old. She eats, she sleeps, she complains. There's just one exception, she's an orphan. Her mom died of cancer when she was four, and her father was so overcome with grief he hung himself. Depressing, I know. But out of the many things they left to her, she kept their fortune so it would help with college, her mother's old polaroid, and her father's NES console.
When two men adopt her, she faces many trials, new school, new friends, new life. It's completely different than what she expects.
