There's only a boys hockey team at Sunny Dale high school, and Caroline Smith is more than willing to play on the team. In grade 11, she not only makes the team but she's now an assistant captain. All the boys take a liking to her because she can really play with them, and handle the roughness the game brings. She is the new kid, the loud and outgoing beauty that's hard to find, and she is put on Defense, and her partner is a handsome, sensitive, team captain whose a nerd named Sam.

Too bad the boys on the football team hate her dating him, and hate that she's even on a guys team! With constant practical jokes from both teams, and news stations talking about how good the football team is already, and how the hockey team is finally doing better! You see the football team has won State for the past 5 years and the hockey team has never had a winning season in over 10 years.
