Gerard Way is a lonely young man, confined to a life of isolation due to a very rare genetic disorder that prevents him from coming into contact with sunlight. With a job as a security guard working nights, Gerard's world is claustrophobic and desolate, that is, until he met Frank- a secluded guitar player. Quickly forming a relationship with him, Gerard's life seems to brighten. Frank discovers Gerard's artistic talent and quickly helps him get his drawings into a gallery. However throughout his budding relationship Gerard's condition worsens, forcing him to drink blood for sustenance. Keeping his illness a secret from Frank becomes increasingly difficult as the Police begin suspect Gerard for a series of grizzly murders. Will Gerard be able to keep his vampiric tendencies under control? Will Frank accept his terrible secret?
