[ongoing.] [slow updates.] [re-writing as of jan. 27th.] "...The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his *twenty-third* year. If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?" ***** For the longest time, I hid myself away from the world; afraid of what would be said about my monster-like appearance. I understood the fate I brought upon myself; I understood that no one would love me. But every day I would watch her from the tower window. Her elegance was something I admired and so desperately yearned for. She rarely glanced my way, for she knew the horrors that lived within my house. But when she did peak up, her eyes always found the tower window that I hid, and I could see the curiosity bloom within her beautiful brown eyes. Maybe her curiosity would be the cure; the way for her to see behind the mask. Based off of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. This means that things may be copied or mimicked from the original. I am not claiming those ideas as mine; this story is based off of it. But I will put my own twist on things and not every aspect will be like the movie.
