Set in the year 2067, the population is more than ever. Goods and supplies are running out, and it's likely that the Earth is going to meet its end. To stop that from happening, a man named Contraire steps in. His powerful drug, Sleeper, can make a person unconscious for years and also takes care of hunger, thirst and other body functions. But he's forcing hundreds of people to sleep, and he's more of a dictator.
Davis has woke up after ten years of sleeping and now everything has changed. His family is dead and the world is ruled with an iron fist. To end the controller's dictatorship, a few rebels team up with Davis. The controller's son, Matt is on the run and he wants the rebels to join him in a crazy mission. Davis along with his four friends has to end the controller's reign once and for all.
But it isn't as easy as it seems. The innocent are being suspected and time travellers are getting lost.
The team knows that they can't hide anymore. They have to face the controller. And they have only two choices: 'Defend or.....End'

Empire. At the end only Empire remains. No matter how many times you rebel Empire remains. No matter how many times you fight for your democratic Empire remains. Now bend for your emperorr. Welcome readers to my fantasy world. I have brought you something beyond the constraints of my imagination, and I wonder if many are ready for it; however, a good story must be told, and I am fortunate to be the one to tell it. Imagine a world where the vile nature of mankind creeps its ugly head as humanity faces its first and last major catastrophe. The world plunged into everlasting darkness, entrenched in chaos and disorder, where hope is a distant flitting memory. The story I propose to my fellow readers follows Anthony Verdun, who was only a boy when all he knew was taken from him in an instant. Like many others, on that day, those who survived lost a part of themselves, forever scarred by the family, friends, and loved ones they lost. Their lives changed forever; how could it not? I welcome you to join the world I have created, indulge in this hypothetical, and dive into this what-if. What that is, well, you would have to read to find out. Weekly chapter uploads, so stay vigilant. Here is the link to the community discord, where we can discuss the book further. You've just woken in the woods, away from everything you know. You're dazed and confused, unable to comprehend what's just happened. As you are coming to, images flash before your eyes of the last few days. Your parents were taken by the police, you were forced to run, to leave everything behind, to save yourself and your sister. But she isn't here. You panic and look around, you stop. You remember. She too was taken, you are alone. For now. This is what happened to Alexander, his life has just been turned upside down. The year is 2415, the world has both evolved and devolved. It isn't how people imagined. Flying cars, robots in every house, telekinetic pencils. No, they are only in comic books. Self driving cars. No robots in houses, but workhouses instead. Telekinetic pencils... that's possible, if you are gifted with the power of telekinesis. There are dark truths hidden behind closed doors, that only few know. Truths that if they got out, would bring the downfall of the government. A government that has been deceiving people for generations. But they haven't been as careful as they thought, because 100 years ago, one guy found out their secrets. 100 years ago, one guy started the rebellion that would bring about the end. From burning books, rewriting history and breaking human rights, this government will stop at nothing to make it seem that they are doing good. But people have had enough, the secret came out before. It's only a matter of time until it happens again. This time by a group of people that no one expected. Together they work to find out the truth, but things have gotten worse over the last century and this may not only bring around the downfall of the government. Armed only the powers they were born with, the group do everything they can to discover the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But many have tried and failed, do they really stand a chance? Alexander doesn't think so, but his main concern is finding his sister, Rosia.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! [COMPLETED] •Being revised... AGAIN (Progress: Intro-Chap. 3)• "We're going back... Understand? There are more threats out here than we anticipated, and they're all after you-" Lukas' voice erupted into static and chunks... I glared at the man in all black as the light continued to beam and blind me. Without my glasses it was actually painful. And then there was silence. My bare feet hit the metal floor of wherever we had jumped to, and I put my hand up to shield my eyes from the vicious attack of bright light. Not again." Alexi Callidus is living in a post-apocalyptic world... In the 25th Century. The year is 2470. She's been surviving on her own for 4 years and 8 months inside the same building with her only companion without seeing the sun. 5 years after the brutal unexplained murder of her family. 7 years after the genetic disaster of "GASP". 7 years and 4 months after the War of Nations. Everything seems to be barren and empty... But if her super old sci-fi movies didn't teach her that looks deceive, nothing will. Technology, before "GASP" (Genetically Altered Soldiers Program) and the War of Nations, was insane. You could be teleported in the blink of an eye, or healed from a once fatal injury in days. With the majority of the population infected with a viral genetic plague, almost any of the survivors could access this technology... Including Alexi. When a simple quest for survival turns into a journey of a lifetime, will Alexi be able to survive the weight of the gruesome truth when she finally uncovers it? Will our heroine be able to fade into the background and live a quiet life of cunning? NOTICE: THIS STORY IS AN OLD DRAFT. It is currently in the process of being rewritten. For your sake (and mine) please go check out "ILLUSIONS AND LIES: REWRITE" on my profile. While I'm not stopping you from reading this- especially if you're impatient and want to know how the story goes- please do keep in mind that aspects of this story are unpolished in this book. "we thought we were special. turns out, we were wrong." A group of teenagers who live in a place known only as "The Compound" are led to believe that they are the last people on the planet, aside from their ever-present caretakers. The Caretakers study them and their abilities, never once letting them know of the thriving outside world. In the outside world, everybody has abilities, known as "Gifts." The oppressive government prevents people from using these Gifts properly. A faction of rebels is on the rise, determined to retrieve the children they lost to this cruel government and create a fairer world for all. "and we don't like being wrong..." Modern futuristic AU. This story will contain mature themes and triggering topics, such as somewhat detailed descriptions of blood and violence, suicide, depression, homophobia, child abuse, and death. I do not own the characters, but I do own the plot. Please do not steal the plot or elements of this story.
