Define: Heartbreak
She stuttered. She took a deep breath, faced the ground and broke into tears. The words flashed in her mind like a lightning during a severe storm. Her face just collapses into her hands and she weeps at the reminiscence of love. Her heavy heart crashes down, breaking her fragile ribs, leading to broken bones piercing through her lungs. Every little word that he ever etched on her rib cage, she now feels with every breath that she takes. She recites the things he once said to her as if it was the music of her soul. She tries to listen carefully to figure out where she went wrong. She cries rivers of questions while she pulls her hair struggling to find the answers. Her mind flips through the pages of their stories as she tries to understand her weaknesses, but everytime she stumbles through the word 'Love' she hears his voice thunder through her mind and she begins to yell for mercy.

"Do you feel safe with him?" the question seemed silly; in my head I had immediately laughed at it because it was so absurd. How could I not feel safe with Niall?
