Catherine is an anorexic patient. She often slits her wrists to remind her that she is still in this bleak and judgmental society. One day, her parents found out about her little self-harm and for the sake of her future, they send her to rehabilitation centre. Catherine has been going through a lot of session of counseling at school and the rehabilitation centre for 4 years since the age of 12. None of the psychiatrist helped Catherine to recover. Each session made Catherine's anxiety and depression jolt higher. Her family almost lose hope in her and the support they once gave her are also beginning to fade away. She began to realise that life is meaningless. Her mother, Lily, convinced Catherine to attend a session with her new psychiatrist, Drake, to see whether this young but experienced psychiatrist can help Catherine overcome her problems.

Phoebe's always hated her body. She never thought she was good enough to blend in with her classmates. And now, at almost 200 pounds, she decides to start what she calls 'operation skinny,' with one goal in mind: to shed the weight. She marks her wrist with the letters 'N' and 'O' to remind herself of the self-control she seeks. Her only friend is very concerned because he doesn't want to see her falling down a very unhealthy rabbit hole. But Phoebe doesn't see a single thing wrong with her actions. That is, until she finds herself waking up in the hospital bed with no recollection of how she got there.
