When a school shooting occurs twice in one month at his daughter's school, Nick is determined to find the shooter and to keep Zara safe. But what he doesn't expect is for the case to be brought to Special Victims, after a past rape victim insists that the shooter is actually the man who raped her and got away with it, and he's come back to finish her off. Will the detectives be able to find the perp before he commits another horrendous crime or puts the whole school in danger? Meanwhile, Nick is torn between the two women in his life when Maria comes for an unexpected visit. He loves Amanda, he knows that, but could he really pass up a second chance with Maria, a chance to start over and be a family again?

SEQUEL TO DONT GET IN A STRANGER'S CAR! Ellie is still living with Amanda - well, it is only two weeks later but the transition has really helped her cope. Nobody's worried for her, really, anymore. And Ellie's life seems to be getting back on track. One day, after school, Ellie and Jordyn are going back to Amanda's and they notice two men. Two men that got away not so long ago from a rape and kidnap charge. Immediately telling Amanda and keeping a secret from Olivia, her life seems to flip again. But this time, it's because of people she knows. • I know kinda sounds like it sucks but I suck at summaries. So, read it to see what happens!
