This is a collection of poems focusing on the struggles of my Christian journey as an apostolic young woman. They were my prayers when I could not find strength to pray, my voice box when I felt I could not speak, and ultimately my saving grace when I thought I didn't deserve saving.
I hope through reading these, the Holy Spirit will grant you the same peace He's granted to me after writing each one.

Addicted
"You have no idea how badly I want to make love to you," he responds with a shake of his head. "I love you so much," he continues and my heart melts. "I love you," I whisper back. I fell for a boy with the kindest blue eyes, and a charming dimple. He made me feel loved, and cared for, and most importantly he made me feel safe in his presence. He came right in the middle of a tornadoe and managed to turn it into blue skies. He changed my perspective and gave me hope and strength." "You know people always say, God never makes mistakes but..." Ace begins, "You ever think of all the things God created, the high skies, the endless seas, the eternal gardens... You ever think of all the things he made, You were the one mistake that slipped through?" He tries his hardest to keep his voice monotone but his shaky demeanour gives him away "Ace..." "Like your life was written from the start for the purpose of destruction? Like you were made to be the villain to everyone else's hero?" He scoffs, not even being able to look me in the eyes. "People search this life forever, wondering what their reason to not give up is, what their motivation is. What their purpose in this scary world could possibly be-" His eyes finally find their way to mine. His rough hand taking its place on the soft spot of my cheek as his thumb rubs my jaw.
