Escape was the one thing Adrienne King had always dreamt of. It didn't happen exactly the way she planned it, but after over two decades she believed her life could finally begin and she could close the book on the past. If only she'd realized that there is no closing the book, not while the unknown is always waiting around the corner.
It seemed like that part of her life was finally over--the lying and stealing and mind games. Certainly Adrienne never expected she would have to fear for her life again, but when a stranger shows up demanding two million dollars in six months as a repayment for the crimes of her father and brother, she quickly realizes that their influence on her life isn't over yet. For five years she wondered what her brother was up to and now she's about to find out.
