'Right, here's the thing. My best friend, Sierra Oyama, sends her crush a message on a last minute basis, before flying to Japan on holiday. Then he, Rafe Mann, sends a message back in response, hours later. Now, here's where it gets complicated. My best friend will have no internet for the whole summer, so she can't reply back to the 'oh-so-gorgeous' Rafe. Well, I, Rose Majer, reply back, of course, pretending to be Sierra. Turns out, that had to be one of the worst things I've ever done, and if only I knew the consequences before hand. If only.'
Rose Majer is a naïve sixteen year old student, ready to start sixth form with her childhood best friend, Sierra Oyama. Rose messes up a lot in life. Whatever you hand to her will break, she's awful at Maths, and the small teen is the living definition of awkward. The painful kind of awkward; not the cute kind of awkward. Unlike Rose, Sierra is known to be a perfectionist. Perfect hair, perfect body, perfect grades, but there's only one thing missing: a perfect boyfriend.
Lies are told, hearts are broken, and trust is destroyed.
