Evangeline Greenly is the only 17 year old girl in all of District 11 that isn't afraid of the Capitol. She has her boyfriend Mason Bridges to thank for that. No one hates the Capitol more than Mason, until he is given the opportunity to become a Peacekeeper. This new pay could mean that the two could get married like they've always wanted, but President Snow is watching, and every move Mason makes is another move closer to losing Evangeline for good.
Let the 49th Annual Hunger Games Begin.

Disclaimer: All rights go to Suzanne Collins. I only created the new characters and the plot. Thanks to everyone that's liked it so far. I hope to continue on in the future with possibly sequels, but I'll finish this one first.

So when the selection is made the choice, it will shock both the District and the volunteers themselves. __________________________________________ Meet Ash Evalins... A normal girl that went to the Academy to train to be a tribute like the rest of the kids of the District, but she was different. She worked 18 hours a day at a bakery in the middle of the town square and wasn't the strongest student to leave the Academy. She is reserved and shy but she has a power and intelligence inside her mind that even she didn't know was there. The only people who seem to see it are the Trainers of the Academy, her family, and of course the Victor of the 71st Hunger Games, Cato Hadley. And this seems to cause problems for her that she can't begin to comprehend, as she carries on with her life. But when the 72nd Hunger Games starts, Ash doesn't realize she will have to show her true nature in order for her to defeat the other 23 tributes. But is her talent and skills enough to get her through the games? Or will it fall short and put her with the other 23 tributes who didn't survive? Read and find out... ___________________________________ This story is an AU (Alternate Universe), So Cato is the Victor of the 71st Hunger Games and a few things are different so don't be mad at me or anything. Years after the last attempted uprising in the country of Panem the 99th Annual Hunger Games is getting ready to start. The country is laid strictly in the chains of the Capitol and a connection outside of one's District is rare. What happens when a lovestricken friend pair is chosen as tributes for each their Districts? Do they accidentally create a deja vu for anyone in the country that is old enough to remember the 74th Hunger Games? "I don't care if it's because of the circumstances. I do not need you to protect me!" "I'm protecting you because I love you. For the first two days, each time that canon went off I almost threw myself into a panic attack, because I couldn't bear the thought of you being the death behind that canon." --- Started: Mar 22, 2023 Ended: -
