Alice is a sweet girl who cares about everything and everyone. But there is one thing she loves more than anything in the world, and that's photography.
Throughout the story her mind changes from black and white to full blown color. And this is because of the way she thinks. In the beginning she can only 'see' in black and white, this is because she thinks that, that is how purity is shown and the only way to be beautiful. But as the story blooms, her vision slowly changes to a color filled adventure. And it ends up giving her a chance to be part of a big industry for all things art related.
But none of this could happen if she hadn't met Jacob. Jacob helped alice explore what was unknown to her and helped her develop to a higher standard. Without him she couldn't have made it to where she is now.
