Ashley Winter is an abused broken girl who keeps her head down so no one will notice her. She lives with her adoptive Dad, but he is not all he seems to be. Ashley thought she was normal, but she's a werewolf she just doesn't know it yet. When she meets the Alpha's daughter, Ashley suddenly finds herself shoved into a world where werewolves, vampires and other supernatural creatures exist. Ashley thought her life couldn't get any worse, but throw in a legend, hunters, mates, battles, death and a slut that hates your guts, Ashley's life just got tougher.
Sooner or later Ashley will find out that she's not a broken abused girl, she's something more. The more Ashley gets closer to her destiny the more questions keep popping up.

She falls into severe depression, and develops a form of PTSD, that was formed from the shock she had from her pack and mate's betrayal. She isn't happy anymore, and that brightness she had in her personality is gone, leaving a husk of her former self.
