Piper is nearing the end of her sentence at Litchfield, and knows she will be leaving Alex behind for a few months. Their love for each other is at an all time high since Alex almost met her fate by the CO with the toothpick in the gardening shed. Alex was in the hospital for 2 months, leaving Piper in a hole of self-hatred and overwhelming depression in thinking that her other half may be dead. When Alex finally returned, Piper made it her goal to love her unconditionally and never take her for granted ever again.
