Audrey's father, the alpha of the Silver Moon's pack has been been murdered by a rogue werewolf. In the panic of things, her mother sends her away to live with relatives in Detroit while she takes care of business. Audrey has never felt more needed by her pack and can't push aside the nagging feeling that she has to stay. But there is nothing she can do. Loneliness, sadness, and fear greet Audrey when she steps off the plane and into Detroit airport. The usually comforting place now seems foreign in light of recent events and she wants nothing more than to return home. Audrey is determined to not get attached to the city or people during her stay, but she is unprepared for what awaits her. Within a few weeks her perspective is changed and she wonders if she has the will power to return to her pack at all. Audrey no longer feels the need to rush home and protect her pack. The thought alone scares her. What could be powerful enough to change a determined Luna's mind, warm a stone heart, and make Audrey rethink her plan of returning home to her pack from a place where she felt unwelcomed? Love.
