Meet Katherine, "Kat",  McKenna, a twenty-seven year old fresh out of Law School and ready to change the world. She gets an interview at one of the most prestigious law firms in Eastwood, Alabama, which is extremely rare for someone like her, as it's 1949 and a lot of people don't like the idea of women in the office. She battles others for a chance to prove that women can do everything that men can. But that isn't all that's in store for her. 
After a series of events that lead to her finding a note from a relative she presumed dead, Kat goes on a hunt to discover the truth about what really happened. She discovers that sometimes, the truth hurts.
