Brooke Baxter grew up in a small town in Connecticut. Her mother would always take her and her older sister, Lea, on the train to New York City. They got to see Broadway after Broadway, learning to love the arts. For her sophomore year of high school, Brooke as a choice to either attend her current public school again, or take part in Los Angeles' most prestigious performing arts academy. It takes a bit of courage, but Brooke decides to follow her older sister in continuing to study the arts.
Brooke makes fast friends during the summer, and even lands her first boyfriend. But there is still one more thing to complete the life she has always wanted. The Harmonies. Strictly 12 members. 6 girls. 6 guys. Hundreds wanting to join. They are dancing. They are singing. They are drama. They are love. They are betrayal. They are fun. They are liars.
After a scandal based on a lie within one of the girls on the Harmonies, Brooke is given an opportunity to get in on the action. Choices are constantly arising during Brooke's first semester the L.A. Performance Arts Academy. Does she choose her best friend who has always had her back? Or does she focus on her own arising career? Does she choose the boy who takes great interest in her and gives her all the attention in the world? Or does she go after the man she wants, but can't have? Does she play it safe and keep her heart guarded? Or will she break down the walls and give into the drama, tension, and lies?
