Katniss Everdeen has moved to a city called Panem after her father died in a car accident that left her family devastated. She is just finishing up college and has just come out of a relationship with her ex, Gale Hawthorne. She says that she will never have a relationship again but, will a blond haired, blue eyed boy steal her heart? Or will Gale come back and somehow get Katniss to forgive him? Disclaimer: I do not own these characters. They are Suzanne Collins and I admire her greatly for making them. Please review and give me feedback, I'd really appreciate it:)

We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination.
