Brody and Sophia grew up together. They were neighbors throughout their childhood. They went to the same schools, and eventually, they ended up dating. Throughout high school, Brody and Sophia were considered the “It” couple. They were the perfect high school couple stereotype. Brody was the natural-born, superstar athlete, while Sophia was your typical beauty queen, pretty-girl who was known for her status outside of school and her scholarly prowess inside the classroom.

Things didn’t stay so picture perfect. After their high school graduation, Brody dropped a bomb on Sophia. He was going to school on the other side of the country. He had been accepted to the United States Naval Academy, which meant he was leaving her all the way back in Malibu, California at Pepperdine University. Needless to say, the dynamic-duo called it quits and went their separate ways.

Years later, Sophia is looking at her twenty-fifth birthday which is fast approaching and the person she least expects to make an appearance, snaps right back into her life.
