There was no knowledge of them or rather their ancestors did not allow knowledge of them to be exposed to their future generation.
The ancestors thought they got rid of them, but they were merely hidden. No one knew except for them and the Seeker.
The Gods and Angels intervened, in hope of saving them from extinction.
It was supposed to be a secret, our existence. I was suppose to quietly find more survivors but I got caught by my very own mate.
To protect our kind and my mate from dangers I had to leave him behind.
No, it wasn't a rejection, it was merely a postponement. Until I am able to freely acknowledge him. It would be a long and tough journey that he didn't need to come along nor bear the hardships.
So I did what I could and left him.

Life was so simple. So much more carefree and just generally free to do as you please and not have to worry about every little thing. Key word being 'was'. The second you receive your wolf you know your in trouble. It's when the rolling hills and valleys turn into mountains and canyons taunting you to enter.
