Peony Campbell, yes like the flower and yes it's her real name, is done being treated like a little damsel in distress whenever something goes wrong in her life. Well her destiny leads her to a place known as Kingstone military institute where she is trained to become a more aspired and disciplined young adult as they say. To her, she just wants to become the kick ass women she dreams of being. And being her own heroine in life, not needing anyone's protection especially from a man.

Xavier Priest isn't there to make anything better either. He pushes her so hard, even when she's on the verge of death, tormenting her about her lack of skills and absence of experience. And boy does he do it well. However as Peony only grows stronger than he could ever imagine, her optimism seems to have an effect on Xavier. It may be one that causes all his woes to drift away. But it my also be one that traps him in memories he longs to forget.
