Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs has seen some very messed up cases in his long career at NCIS, but nothing like the case he and his team are about to encounter. When a Navy researcher and his wife are found murdered in their home, the team uncovers the Eveiveneg Project. With the military offering no answers the only place they can get the information they need to solve this murder is from the researcher's adopted daughter Genevieve. But due to the things she's suffered in her past, all of the suspicions are on her. Even the Director feels that she is the guilty party. But Gibbs has one of his famous gut feelings that she is innocent, and that there is more to the story and this mysterious project. Can Gibbs get the real story before they put away the wrong person? And will Genevieve's past play a critical role in these murders? Or is Gibbs fighting for and defending the wrong person?

Spin-Off to Athena Gibbs For ten years, Athena has been married to Leroy Jethro Gibbs. For eight, she's been an NCIS agent. For two, she was an FBI agent with Fornell (But transferred with Jethro's pleading). After eight years, the President requested that Athena move back to the FBI, but to the BAU. Even though the US and Crete are allies, Athean is still following the President's orders, if reasonable. Princess Athena Carissa Nikolaou, now Gibbs. Daughter of King Dimitris Nikolaou and Queen Aikaterini Nikolaou and Princess of the Greecian Island of Crete is at a loss for words. Between having a son that she adores more than anything, but is fearful of letting him go to people she doesn't trust, she now has to take on the understanding that her life is about to get worse in a way. If being a Princess wasn't enough, add on the marriage to a federal agent. Having a son with said agent, and then moving to the BAU to be a respected individual who just so happened to take out her own cousin for his terrorist ways. I don't know what else would scream, target! Athena Gibbs has to navigate her career without putting the ones she loves in more danger. The NCIS doesn't really get involved in the day-to-day murders, only the ones that involved the Marines or Navy, but if the serial killers knew who her family was, there are going to be a lot more problems. "For the poison of hatred seated near the heart doubles the burden for the one who suffers the disease; he is burdened with his own sorrow, and groans on seeing another's happiness." -Aeschylus (I know that Jack is not even born yet in the first season, but I'm changing it. This isn't followed word for word in the series so don't get upset. Everything stays the same in Criminal Minds, this is a spin-off, not exactly following the Athena Gibbs story. Haley is still alive, people!)
