I started feeling the tears flood my eyes. I dropped to my knees, dropping my gun and covering my face with my hands. He came over to try to help me up but I pushed him away.
"Get away from me! How could you do that?!" I screamed at him through my cries.
"(Y/N)..."
Still crying I shook my head and started running in another direction still hearing people firing. I wanted to get away. Away from the prison. Carl. Everything. He wouldn't have hurt me if he loved me. I started thinking as I was running.
'What if he's in trouble? What if he needs my help? Would I want to risk my life for the person I thought loved me? Is love really worth dying for?'
-Ok! So this book is probably going to be a disaster but this is my first xreader so don't hate. Or if you do try to be nice about it thanks xp
This STORY is not fully completed meaning it continues in my other book so the story shall go on!
(As you read the storyline and details get better. I wasn't too well at writing when I started this but my writing does get better.)

Before the outbreak she was a cop just like her brother. After Rick got shot and ended up in a coma the world fell apart. The dead came back and started attacking the living. The military fell too quickly, the city was overrun by the dead and now she was at an old quarry only a few miles outside AtlantaοΏΌ with her Sister-In-Law, Nephew, and her brothers best friend. On the way they met a few more people and now had a small group. She slowly grows close the the youngest Dixon brother, Daryl. When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy.
