Jade is trapped in a society where the citizens status is based off of their blood type. Tension has been built up in the government and it is beginning to collapse. No one wants to be separated from loved ones because they have a different type of blood. Jade takes no interest in these acts until her family and friends become affected. When her brother is taken away from her and she immediately joined the rebel cause in order to get him back. Not comprehending that they were the ones that did him in.
