The Immortal's Hold

His icy light blue eyes were fixated intently on me.

He had backed me up against one of the building's wall in the ally. “Tell me,” he started. “Do you know what blood does to an Immortal when they consume it?”

I swallowed. “They become vampires?” My rationale went vacant. I couldn't think straight around him. I hated how I became a mess when he was this close.

He leaned his face next to mine. I was having trouble breathing when the length of his muscled lean body touched mine. “We become Bound to each other,” he whispered in my ear. His hand touched my waist, igniting sparks. His odd behavior was entrancing me. And his spicy and musky smell intoxicated me.

I gaped. I was beyond speechless. Bound? What did that mean?

He leaned back a little to stare right into my eyes before looking down at my lips. Something passed through his eyes before he crashed his mouth onto mine. He kissed me like he was dying of dehydration and the only thing who could sate his thirst was my mouth.

We were so lost in the kiss, even Roman failed to detect the threat behind him before it was too late.
