Bitter (a Harry Potter Era fanfiction)

I'd always lived a sheltered childhood. Everything had been handed to me on a silver platter and my playmates were the same. However, when I got to Hogwarts I quickly to adapt to the horror that was the other children. I realized within a week that my House was an outcast and hated with a passion by everyone else. I learned to choke back tears at the names they called me. I didn't always understand the jabs, but I knew what they sneered wasn't kind. And so I learned how to be cruel back. I learned to adapt.
