"Please don't go," I cried not wanting to lose him at the tender age of 9.
"Hey hey! It's all going to be all right," He said, trying to sound convincing but then started coughing out blood.
"Really? You idiot does this seem all right to you?" I said as I pointed beneath my hand at the blood pouring out of his abdomen, his shoulder and his mouth.
"WOW! I am dying here and you're being sarcastic. Good going." He said spluttering out some more blood.
"Hey take it easy and don't talk about dying okay. The ambulance is on its way," I shouted, tears continuously coursing down my face.
"You need to calm down, Daire. Here have this," his hand moved towards his neck and grabbed the key that always laid around his neck and handed it to me. "Believe me; you'll like what this opens. I was going to give this to you at the end of the day but I guess I'll just have to give it to you now," a few tears escaped from the corner of his eyes.
Suddenly I heard the siren of the ambulance. "Listen help is here. It's all going to be alright. Just please stay awake; open your eyes!" I shout as his eyes start dropping.
"Please, stay awake; don't go. I love you, Kai." I shout through the tears.

Hey guys this is my first story somehow this description got deleted so I'm putting it up again.
Please guys don't copy my work or else I will have no choice so you better start buying a lot of salt.
Guys the book starts when Daire is 17 not 9 okay. This extract is in the past and the first chapter starts with Daire being a 17 year old.
P.S. guys even though the plot looks cliché it is not (well I hope so) *small spoiler* Daire and Zalec don't get together until half of the book and they start of as best friends and a lot of things happen during that time.
