After America won the war, Lafayette realized he had nowhere to go. With the little amount of money in his pockets, he couldn't sail to France and buy a house there. Or anywhere. He hated his parents for making him live on his own after the war was over.
Lafayette began to turn to close friends and asked them if he could live with them until be had enough money to buy a house of his own. They all refused. Finally, as a last resort, he turned to his ex-commander, George Washington, and his daughter (if you're a dude, you can change this), (Y/N).
The Washingtons and Marquis de Lafayettes were close, so Lafayette knew Washington would say yes. Well, most of the Washingtons and Marquis de Lafayettes were close. Lafayette and (Y/N), however, weren't. Ever since they met (which was when they were, like, six, on a vacation to France the Washingtons were on), they seemed to be fighting all the time. They couldn't stand each other. Both of them began to dread the frequent visits of the two families.
So you can imagine (Y/N)'s devastation when her dad agreed to let Lafayette stay for as long as he needed. What would happen? I mean, with two enemies in one house, anything could happen.
