Samira Johnson loves soccer. As a junior at Missouri State in Colombia, Missouri, (or Mizzou) she plays right midfielder for the college's soccer team. On the night of their last game, she plays excellently and wins the eye of several NWSL talent agents. After the game she receives an offer she can't refuse: a chance to go play at a camp and possibly play for the Portland Thorns. At this camp in New York, she meets many new friends, and a roommate named Tobin, who seems to not care for many things. But there's something about Tobin that makes her impossible to keep off Samira's mind.
