He's No Monster, Not to Me

Loki was alone, overshadowed, cast out, ignored by the others. But what if there had been someone in Asgard who stood by him and befriended him? Would he have changed? Would he have grown bitter and done the things he did? Would he be a hero, or was his role as villain inevitable? Would he have fallen in love with her?

Many years ago, when Aura was five, her father Valr, god of the sea, went insane after his home was destroyed and his wife killed by the Frost Giants of Jötunheim. She and her father went to the capital of Asgard where her father was kept safely and Aura grew up along with Thor, Loki, Sif and the Warriors Three.

Now, her own godly powers still developing, arrogant, warrior-like Thor is becoming king, when Frost Giants break into the castle and Thor leads them on an attack to Jötunheim. Thor is banished, Odin falls into a deep sleep, and her best friend Loki turns out to be one of the Frost Giants that once destroyed her father and home - as well as in love with her.
