Dresmia is became the Queen of Grandia at age seven and acquired the Gift of Icea, therefore becoming its holder. Although she takes great care of her kingdom, she does not care enough about its inhabitants, earning the nickname, Ice Queen. Demetri is one of the many poor peasants living in Dresmia’s kingdom. When his mother dies in his arms on account of one of Dresmia’s decrees, Demetri swears to get revenge. Armed with the Gift of Novus, the young boy infiltrates Icea Castle itself to get his revenge. Although he is a mere boy, he has been Seen to be Ragnarök, the destruction of three kingdoms, including Grandia. Fate has decided that when the day of Raining Blood comes, great carnage will follow; and the Holder’s kingdoms will be no more. When the Sighted day comes, Demetri is more than ready—willing—for the obstacles that face him. However, the ten winters he spent at Dresmia’s side was not for naught. Can Demetri fulfill the duty the Rulers have in store for him, or will he follow his heart and choose the woman he loves over the world?
