Amy Rose teared up. "We're just friends!? You don't like me!" She said. "This is all a joke to you!? You think my feelings are a joke? You would rather just toy with me again--toy with my emotions!"

One day at a party, Sonic thought it would be funny if he played a joke on Amy by pretending that he had a crush on her. But it goes a little too far, when Amy gets frustrated and storms out.
Though, she doesn't return the next day as Sonic would assume she usually would do after she's cooled down from an embarrassing situation. It turns out that Amy ran away since she didn't want to see Sonic anymore. It's been years and Sonic realizes that he misses the loving girl that she once was in his eyes.
Being the adventurous blue hedgehog he is, Sonic sets out on an adventure to go find her, hoping he could bring her back home. However, if he finds her again, will she be the same blossoming-loving girl she always was known for? Or will she NOT be as she has transformed into a different girl than she ever was than before?
