The room is huge and dimly lit, only a few lights flickering in the center of the space. A few yards away stood five people, all leaning over, looking at something on a desk. Scanning the people, I do a double take as I see one of them is wearing all black. I whip back around to the hallway, pressing my back against the wall. It's him! Oh my gosh it's him! 

Slowly, I pull my knife out of my pocket, gripping the handle in my now clammy hand. With a deep breath and a small prayer, I quietly make my way into the room. A quick thumping fills my ears as my heart pounds against my chest.

I keep to the walls, edging closer and closer to my partner. I'm about five feet away from him, close enough to see the huge muscles of his back and arms. He isn't super tall; maybe 5'9, 5'10. He has light blonde hair, making his tan neck look even darker.

You can do this Charlie. I raise my knife and close the distance between us in two steps. The next second is a blur and I'm on the ground, my arms and legs pinned and my eyes squeezed shut. I know he has my knife. A small cry escapes my lips and I am sure this is it for me.

A moment passes with nothing happening until I hear a low gasp. Slowly I open my eyes and gasp as well when I see who it is.
