17 year old Allie Mason just moved to Turtle Beach, California, from Colorado. And although some things are definitely going to be different since living with her aunt Jenna. Allie has a younger brother, Alec, who she doesn't even know. Allie is super depressed to be up-rooted again and moved in with her father, who she doesn't even know. Allie is a very dark depression. She drinks a lot, she smokes a lot, and she just tries her best to forget the past.
And then there's Isaac Knight. Isaac is 18 years old and is in his senior year of high school. His uncle is the principal, he's the star on the track team, and he's the golden boy of the school. But everything changes the day that Allie Mason starts school at Meadow Ridge High School. Isaac is intrigued by her, and more than anything he wants to help her, but he doesn't know how.
Isaac and Allie become extremely close over time, and they eventually become romantically involved. But then on the night of her 18th birthday, they make a big mistake, one that can't ever be fixed. How will they respond to this mistake? Will they make the best of it? Or will it ruin them forever??
