I just had to get involved. I just had to pepper-spray the principal. I just HAD to steal the duck. All I wanted was to sit with Sarah Tills, Tara Anderson, Laura Patrick, and Aurora Johns. All I get in return is to go to a camp for troubled teens but I get to go to Fairwell Falls in the middle of nowhere! Isn't life great?

I don't blame my great-grandparents for finding the school, I blame them for naming it Darewood Ducks. My great-grandpa had this weird obssesion about ducks, what is so special about them? 'They are also called water-fowl, they can migrate, be mistaken for other water birds' or so I've been lectured.

I wanted to sit by the populars at lunch and the only way they told me how to was to steal a head, a duck in particular. By head I mean a mascot head. Every school has a mascot, our mascot is a duck.

Sarah's brother's pick up truck was my only get away, apparently they ditched me. When I arrived at the prncipal's office, the head was staring right at me. I decided to weigh it out; getting in trouble or not getting in trouble. Well, there is no time to back out now. Since the security camera caught me, might as well go for it.

I just had to be sent off to a place in the middle of nowhere with an aunt I never met. With strangers along the way, accidents, and advenutres, this is going to be an eternal summer.
