Good times don't last forever . . . especially when disaster strikes.

Leaving the place you've called home for most of your life is difficult . . . but so is coming back when everything has changed . . . for the worse.

Things take a dramatic turn at Clearwater Marine Aquarium after disaster strikes, and watching the dream you built with your own blood, sweat, and tears crumble right in front of your very own eyes is agonizing, infuriating, and heart-wrenching.

Fires will ignite between those who were once close, fueled by the anger, frustration, and sorrow caused by the disaster. Relationships will be put to the ultimate test, as will trust and honesty.

But disasters not only tear people apart-they bring them together, too. A sudden loss will bring everyone together as they mourn and take time to reflect, rebuild, and accept that they can't change what has happened.

But one question remains . . . will life at Clearwater Marine Aquarium ever be the same again?

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

"Hey, calm down, flower I ain't gona hurt ya." My heart skips a beat as I feel my face heating even more. His eyes fill with worry, and His voice is deep but steady, which calms me down for some reason. But it made me tremble in ways I couldn't understand. I wanted to get near him but wanted to run as fast as I could at the same time. My head stayed down the whole time, and my wet hair still stuck in many directions. "Leave me alone." My voice was low and cracked; I felt vulnerable and wanted to hide. I didn't want him to leave me alone, but I was scared of what he was doing to me. I wanted to get away. His hazel eyes stare into my soul, the room's sounds filling my head. "Now why would I do that little flower?" _____________________________________________ Shes just an 18-year-old girl. Amarédasse, Daughter of Poseidon by RomancticPrincess
27 parts Complete
Prophesied at birth that she would defeat Poseidon's last remaining enemy once she reached the age of eighteen, Amarédasse has been kept virtually a prisoner in her own home and unaware of the prophecy by orders of her father, Poseidon, while her older brothers and sisters enjoy the freedom that she craves. One day, just before her eighteenth birthday, Amarédasse inadvertently discovers a secret passageway while exploring the palace basement with her cousins, Hebe and Makaria. Once the young mermaid princess uses the passageway to escape she begins to explore the outside world and she comes across a human kingdom whose patron god is none other than her own father. As Amarédasse explores the kingdom she then unknowingly meets its Crown Prince and falls deeply in love with him she is unaware that her father's enemy is watching her every move waiting for an opportunity to strip her of her life. Will Poseidon trust his daughter with the truth and tell her why he kept her locked up her whole life? Will Amarédasse fulfill the prophecy and bring the Golden Age back to all humans and merfolk? Will Amarédasse and her prince live happily ever after like her parents? Read and find out. I dedicate this sequel to my Poseidon fanfiction story to the creator of the Sims 3 machinima trilogy VanityMovies and the entire cast. Yeah, I painted the cover although even I have to admit I'm not much of an artist and I'm still learning how to work that thing.
The Mermaid's Key: A Novella by JeremyBennett2
12 parts Complete
After his grandfather Theo's passing, James sets about clearing and cleaning up his grandfather's belongings before the estate sale when he runs into something peculiar. A box made of shells, worn shut with time, and hidden in the dark recesses of the past. The contents: a key, a brass heart, a journal and letters that leave behind a glimpse into a part of his grandfather's life that James never expected - a world of ancient magic, witches and wizards, mermaids and a love story strong enough to break any heart. The legends are real, partly. Atargatis, the first mermaid, was an ancient witch thrown into the sea by the hostile and fearful townspeople who didn't understand the magic they knew and sensed. What they didn't see was the consequences of their actions, Atargatis' use of magic and the creation of the mermaid with all of its magical abilities. Centuries later Ariana, a young daughter of the clan leader, lives her life in torment, torn between her love of everything under the ocean and the beauty of the boundless sky above. She discovers Theodore, a human, and falls so much in love that she can't fathom a life without him - an ideal that she will go to any length to stand by. What you think you know is but a small part of a much larger story, one that before now has never been told. Love is simply a transfer of energy from one of us to another, all of us connected in a web that we simply label "The Universe." Love and sacrifice have consequences, some which can never be foreseen.
