It is the year 2881. After a nuclear war that killed nearly 70% of the human population, society has rebuilt itself and is now seperated into two classes. The Uppers, with a genetic mutation caused by the radiation, have supernatural powers and live easy lives as members of the elite. The Lessers, however, are regular human beings with regular DNA. They do not have powers, and are forced to serve the Uppers. Lessers not in captivity serving the Upper Society are on the run, forming rebel camps.

Alessandra may be an Upper, but her life isn't as perfect as it may seem to be. She is sent to the government facility, where they strip her of her freedom and force her to work for them. But one of the Lesser boys locked in the laboratories, used as a lab rat for government experiments, is the same boy that she had encountered years before. The same boy whose life she had saved, hiding him in her shed while the guards searched for him. Will something spark between them? Will he return the favor, and save her life in return? Will they be able to escape and find out what secrets the government is hiding?

#9 in UTOPIA 3/3/19 I couldn't take my eyes off of Dean as he stared at the glimmering stars in the night sky. "I believe the story of our lives is already written in the stars. Our destiny is already given to us. The end of our lives will always end the same, no matter what we try to do to change it." I watched a strand of his blond hair fall over his ear. "What does that mean?" "It means that if you are the person who is destined to take the two parts of this country and bring them together, then it will happen one way or another." His heterochromia eyes found mine and I found myself entranced by them. "And Mel, by the looks of things right now, I'd say your story has started and you are already working towards your destiny." ** One country. Two nations. After the country split in two, the nations renamed themselves the Ameliorates and the Extricates. The Ameliorates live in a community full of stability and order. Melody Sharpe is the daughter of the Ameliorates' leaders. All her life she was told that the Extricates lived in a place full of chaos and destruction. What happens when she finds herself questioning everything she had once been taught? What does she do when she meets Dean Martin--the son of the Extricate leaders--who tells her that everything she knows is a lie? Why did the Extricates really split away from the Ameliorates? Why do the Extricates fear the Ameliorates more than anything else? Are the Extricates really the "bad" side? Melody starts asking questions--something she isn't supposed to do--and it might just lead her into the middle of a war.

Olivia never really paid any attention to the guys in school and she's never let herself fall in love. Ever. With college just months away, she had no interest in beginning a new relationship. Besides, she just wanted to enjoy her senior year with minimal distractions. Then her adoptive parents decide to foster an arrogant, irritating guy, who frustrated her to no end. But then tension, oh sweet tension, grows between them whenever the other is near. How is Olivia supposed to fight the inevitable if they live alone in the same house? How is she supposed to not become attached or fall for his cool, flirty, and sometimes reckless personality? Especially when they both forget about the rules. Tyler didn't expect anyone to want to foster him, but SGA was getting old anyway. With his father out of his life, it was time to finally live it without risking getting arrested for doing anything else illegal. Olivia wasn't supposed to become part of his world. How could she? 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

{book two of the Gang love series} * I got pulled into an empty classroom and a pair of hands covered my eyes. "Guess who?" he whispered into my ear before nibbling on it. I giggled. "Hi, Drew." He turned me around by my waist and placed his lips on mine. "Hi, Queenie." I walked to the side and hopped onto a desk. "Now is there a reason why you pulled me into an empty classroom?" I asked. He walked in between my legs placing his hands on either side of my legs. "I wanted a kiss," he said before leaning forward and connecting our lips again. My hands went to the back of his neck and into his hair. My tongue went into his mouth making him pull me against his body and squeeze my hips. When we pulled apart he rested his forehead against mine. "Will you come over after school? We can work on our project and makeout, well mostly makeout."* High school is hard enough without the problems faced being in California's most feared and the most powerful gang. Regina Di' Medici King is living this life but with the added troubles of Andrew Gray, the son of a rival gang leader, making her feel things she's never felt before. Will the two of them find a way to make it work or will it all fall apart? Sequel to Princess and the Devil. Highly suggest reading the first book. I stepped forward and asked, "Where do you want me?" It took me a second to realize what I just said. Shit! I placed a hand on my crimson face and muttered, "Get your head out of the gutter! You know what I meant." He laughed, his voice sounded hoarse and deep even when he's laughing. I peeked at him from the gap I made between my fingers. He was close. So close. He grabbed my hand and took me to the bed. Damn! It did sound sexy. His shirt was loose. Too large for me, and it hung on me like a cloth hung on a hanger. He sat on the bed, criss crossed and pulled me to him. ♡♡♡♡♡ The thing about love is... its unpredictable. Even when you don't want love, it just happens. The Revelation by dstry0515
5 parts Complete Mature
In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. The ultimate forbidden fruit, if you will. I reach to comfort him and he doesn't respond. I open my mouth to speak and he looks my way, but the gleam in his dark brown eyes hits the moonlight just right and I fall. My voice escapes my throat and I can't do it. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. Cried, clutching the tear-stained shirt of my best friend as his son took his last staggering breath in that first harsh winter. The guilt of my emotions crawl through me. My heart twisting in regret, guilt, desperation, and grief. I loved my best friend. She was so much more than that; she was my family. In this dystopian quick read, join a group of people desperate to recapture their freedom and end a tyrant's reign.
